Ryan Tries Out for MN Wild

Hi everyone, the first picture is our typical one taken every year when the Foxes leave. It seems we only have time to take a picture as they step out the door! The other pic is Mark and Leah at a graduation party for her. She leaves today for New Zealand to go to Sommelier school for five months. Then she will tour wine countries in Europe and eventually get a job in Europe, Switzerland, Dubai, or the US. She is a lovely girl who did a great job hosting her party. We talked to some of her teachers and one in particular said her poetry is so good that it should be published. I have her email address now and will keep in touch. Mark looks much better than that picture but it was all we took.

New Job
Hey all,
Well the new job started off a little slow to get off the ground. I was really sick the first week (last week) and on Thursday I was coughing so much I couldn't get through a sentence. It was terrible! It is hard to start a new position feeling horrible and trying to get through your day and hoping they understand that you were worth the effort even though you can't function. :-) But they were all very understanding. This week I am still sick - but functioning. I can't wait for this cold to get going on it's way. It has been a strange working environment to get used to. If I do head to the office, I never know if I am going to see anyone there (there are only three other women that work from the office) or if I will be by myself. I have worked from home about six days out of the last ten and I keep wondering...do they know I am working? I am sure it will become second nature at some point but right now it is all very new.
I am still waiting to be paired up with a school in Kansas and on the Missouri side I have just started working on getting some of their students in businesses for the National Job Shadow day on February 2. Now if could just get those darn teachers to call me back! I can't wait until I can really get the ball rolling - I am not very good at waiting for things to happen. I just want to dive in and get to work.
I hope all of you are doing well and I look forward to seeing you in March! Love to you all - Anne

Nursery

Hi everyone, I wanted to be the first to wish everyone a Happy New Year. We had a great evening with friends. Catherine and Jon took the kids to Dave & Buster's and then dropped in on Karen & Michael. They are trying to leave today. Jon's mom is coming home from the hospital today and then they will leave. They may be back as we are not sure how she will be doing. Keep her in your prayers. Lots of love to everyone and hoping that 2009 will be a great year. Love to you all.
