Fox Family - 1st Posting
Hi everyone...just a quick update to let everyone know we're up and running on the family blog! Life continues to be busy in the Twin Cities with school having begun after Labor Day. Morgan is playing volleyball this fall on the St. Hubert's team and having a blast. Her team is 5-1 and Jon is coaching. Lauren continues with karate and graduated to Advanced Brown Belt the beginning of the month. Catherine heads home to St. Louis in a two weeks for her 25th (don't tell anyone!) high school reunion. Will try to load some pictures soon!

Dinner and a Play
Last night we went to the Kansas City Repertory Theatre which is now under the direction of the fabulous Eric Rosen. We saw their first show of the season, Clay, and it was spectacular. It was a one man hip hop show and was some of the best theatre I have seen since Chicago. In fact, this show was done at Lookingglass as well, which is where I used to work in Chicago.

The Kansas City Rep has a new space down in the Power and Light District. This was our first time venturing down there and oh my gosh is it cool. Check out there website: http://www.powerandlightdistrict.com/. We had a fabulous dinner and a few drinks wandering around the area and we had a blast. There were people of all ages there, some great music playing and we are already making plans to head back. Whomever comes in town next - we would love to take you there! It is exciting to see so many changes in our downtown. The following pictures were taken with my phone so they are not the best.

Robert Plant concert (oh yeah...and Alison Krauss)
For those of you who have not been fortunate enough to visit my place of employment - I am posting a few shots for you. It truly is one of the best venues to see a Broadway show or a concert.

Last night Jeff and I went and saw Robert Plant and Alison Krauss. Some of you may know that we are HUGE Led Zeppelin fans and one of our favorite concerts in college was the Robert Plant - Jimmy Page No Quarter tour. So we went because we both didn't want to miss an opportunity to see Robert Plant. He was terrific. She was not so terrific. I told Jeff it was like watching an "A" act and a "B" act. You have to be pretty spectacular to share a stage with Plant and she was not. But it was well worth going to see Plant perform some of his great Led Zeppelin songs.

We discovered Jeff has an amazing ability to focus us in the frame with one arm extended.

Ok, everyone, after several phone calls back and forth with Anne, I am now BLOGGING! At least I think I am. All is well here and dad goes again this Tuesday to get another new contact. Hopefully, this will work and not cause any infections.
Good news. Anne and Jeff are coming in October 11th for our second weekend. They will be here on the 9th and stay until the 12th. This will be a great second weekend!
Dad and I leave for Naples, Florida on the 15th of October. We will return the 26th. Click on the image icon to see a picture of the Schenk's and Einig's in Naples last year.

Baby update
Hey everyone, we have our first ultrasound on Thursday morning at 7:30. We will finally get to see baby Atkins. We also will do all the blood work. There are a few extra tests that need to be run because I am a teacher. We will post the ultrasound pics as soon as we get them.
This was the first Monday in a month that I did not puke. I take that as a good sign. I have been having awful headaches but my dr. says that is totally normal. FUN. I have been living off of carbs which my dr. said will help with the nausea. Kyle has been so helpful. He has been there with wet wash cloths, pony tail holders, drinks, cleaning the bathroom, etc. He has been a tremendous support.
Kasey and Bo are excited to be big brothers and sisters. We will be buying a crib tent because I know where Bo will head first.
Speaking of Kasey...she just had minor surgery. While playing ball she cracked her toe nail. Our vet had to remove it. She is on three different drugs and going totally stir crazy. Maybe by the end of next week she will get back into the ball playing.
More later.......
