The IW auction was this weekend and it was all well worth the last couple months of dedication. $9500 auction and $5500 trivia night proceeds. This was our first ever auction to accompany our trivia night and I think the combo even brought up the trivia night's portion's 50/50 sales, etc. Our theme was Welcome to Fabulous St. Louis (Vegas theme). It ran very smoothly and we had some great items.

Now it's tax time, ughh.

Michael is preparing for a St. Louis triathlon, the Kansas City triathlon on June 14 and an Ironman in Tempe on November 22. We'll extend our stay there and miss TG with everyone this year as we've made reservations at the Camelback Inn in Scottsdale for several days thereafter.

Nicholas and Nathan have spring break the last week of March and want to enroll in a skateboard camp at this great 33k sq ft skatepark in St. Charles with a few of their friends. Nicholas is preparing for his first communion in April - we'll probably do something over here afterwards, something small. They really like school and are extremely social. I can barely keep up with them.

By the way, Nicholas is reading the responsorial psalm tomorrow at the all school mass. Shhh. if you show up, don't let him know until afterwards.

Update on Dad

Dad had his two week visit and all looks good.  He is seeing a new doctor in the practice who feels that every once in a while he should pull a stitch in order to keep the cornea flat.  We were a little concerned about his retina but it turned out to be a leakage of blood into the eye which is 80% gone now.  So, all is on track for a very good transplant.  The most important thing will be making sure he gets no infection.  I told him he needs to constantly wash his hands and watch how he touches his eyes.  Hopefully, we are on the way to getting eyesight in that eye also.  Glad it's Friday.  The crazies have been out this week at school!!
