Well, I am officially 32 weeks pregnant. We had our birthing class today. It was great. It was just us and three other couples and we met at our instructor's house. She is a RN at St. John's. So, it was intimate and much more comfortable. She is the same one that is going to give us our hospital tour in March.
We also picked our pediatrician this week. I think we have made a good choice and will be very happy.
I had an apt. last week and the baby now weighs around 4lbs. He is still sideways but my dr. says that is fine until week 36.
Also, this week I have the Atkins' baby shower. That should be a lot of fun.
Kyle has been working at Quizno's for a week now and it seems to be getting a little better. The Lawrence Group was really hoping that they would get the new downtown library project but someone else got it. This was really hard to stomach as they were pretty sure it was theirs. So, onto the next project.
I am feeling fine. Just the normal aches and pains that are part of the third trimester of pregnancy.

Dad update
Dad is doing fine. We went to the doctor's Friday and all looked good. He had a little blood scaring but that has taken care of itself. It looks like all is good and we have passed the first test. They checked to make sure there was no retina damage but everything looked good in that regard also. We did some running around today to catch up on some things. Just settling down now to begin watching the Oscars. Take care and I will keep everyone updated.

Well I tried to take a picture of Dad with his patch and that was definitely not successful. I am fixing dinner now and Dad is doing just fine. I will take him to the doctors tomorrow and then go on to school. It's hard to not be at school for two days in a row so I will put in sometime at least. We both took naps this afternoon as I think it drained us both. Funny thing this morning was we had to be there at 6:00 but the coffee shop opened at 7:30! Also, I told Dad when they came out to call each patient in they literally shouted the name. Oscar was called so much that everyone turned around and told Oscar he had been called. Welcome to the older generation!

Updates from Mom, Dad, Chris, & Fran
Hi everyone, just wanted everyone to know that Dad will have his second surgery on his right eye on February 19th. Hopefully, this will go well and he'll be back to seeing with both eyes. His right eye has never been the best one so we just have to go in with lots of optimism and prayers. We are moving back all the furniture today as we got it cleaned yesterday. In this economy new carpeting is not in the picture. We go today to Cirque du Soleil to see Saltimbalco. We both are really looking forward to that. Thursday night we went to Kemol's in their new digs on the top of the Metropolitan building. We went with the Schenks for an early bird special and it was fantastic. Quite a good menu, magnificent view, and a good time. They are only open for dinner Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. They do open for lunch during the days. They were very honest with saying no business with the economy and the Highway 40 closing. So sad that so many people are suffering. This is our week to take Grandma and Grandpa out to dinner so Tuesday we will be taking them to Yia Yia's. We go every other week with them and they are excited everytime. I hope I'm like that at that age and better yet I hope I'm still here. Take care and we love you all.

Hey all,
busy with lots of stuff. missed my jan deadline to post. kat sent me a bunch of photos from Oceana Beach in Pismo last summer. everyone parks on the beach/camps out (rvs, tents, etc) and takes advantage of the great dunes. saw dunebuggies, atvs, motocross, and rhinos - 3 days/2 nights of campfires, bbq, beach, and dunes - here is nicholas on the 4wheeler and taking out air from the truck so we could get through the sand. most fun i've ever had.

Morgan competes in Gymnastics Meet
Morgan had back-to-back meets the past two weekends. First, we made the trip to Wisconsin Dells (1/23-24) and enjoyed the -10 degree weekend weather! Thank goodness we were staying at a waterpark...the kids had a great time and Morgan did well, finishing 3rd in vault and 6th in all around. This past weekend she competed in her 2nd meet and took 1st in Floor...needless to say, she was very excited.
Ryan starts Rookie hockey camp this weekend...it should be interesting. He's not sure he wants to wear the helmet, but I assured him everyone will have one on! I might have to do 2 blogs in February if he has any antics to report!

No News
I have no news to post. Let's be realistic, without kids, I really don't have any cute pics or stories to tell. But I was getting tired of not seeing anything new. Mom - does this count as my February post?
